Nirvana

Nirvana was an American rock band formed by singer / guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Dave Grohl joined the band in 1990.

Their album titled Nevermind became an album that is touted to be a product of excellence in his generation. Contains single Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, and Lithium, the album successfully sold over 30 million copies worldwide, and is also said to be one of the best albums of all time. In 1993, their third album, In Utero, re-releases, although not as successful as into his second album, but singles like Heart Shaped Box, All Apologies, and Rape Me remains a sharp fangs that Nirvana offer.

Nirvana already achieved a number of awards, such as Best New Artist version of MTV Video Music Award and Best Alternative Album for acoustic live album, MTV Unplugged in New York.

In 2004, when Nirvana was entering its heyday, Kurt Cobain, which is the spirit of Nirvana, chose to commit suicide. It is at once end the career of the band incorporated in the scheme of Seattle's grunge.
